You could go to a convenient store to buy some cold soda for this purpose but why choose something instant when you can make your own beverage? Think of it as a way to fill the otherwise really hot day with some activity that benefits you both physically and mentally. You can instead go to a supermarket to buy some fruits to bring back home. Afterwards, you can whip up some fresh and healthy drinks for your family to enjoy together. You can supply your body with healthy nutritious refreshment and you would not feel guilty for having consumed something with fewer benefits. Soda, as refreshing as it could be, should not be consumed too frequently. If you consume it far beyond what’s recommended, it would turn into something harmful instead. So, what do you have in mind for a healthy, refreshing beverage for this lazy afternoon? What about soursop-orange iced tea? Soursop and orange are not usually combined together let alone with tea as the base. But once you try it yourself, you can never get enough of it.
Soursop is rich in dietary fiber. Women require 22-28 grams of dietary fiber per day while men 24-28 grams. A cup of soursop flesh supplies 7 grams of dietary fiber, making it a perfect source of fiber to consume. There is also up to 626 grams of potassium in a cup of soursop. Men and women require at least 2,000 mg of potassium per day. Potassium is an element that’s great for maintaining healthy muscles and bones, helping with digestive tracts, and controlling blood pressure. As the beverage also contains orange, it is also a great source of kolin. Kolin is the substance that helps you get better sleep and control muscle movement and memories. Besides, the recipe does not take too much to make so you do not have to do a lot to get it all done. You need a tea pouch, a tablespoon of white sugar, 50 ml of boiling water, orange juice from one orange, 3 tablespoons of soursop flesh (seeded and mixed with a tablespoon of white sugar to prevent discoloration), and 100 ml of shaved ice.
